Bill Clinton Slips Again

Bill Clinton is about to face heat for remarks made in a recent interview regarding racial comments about Barack Obama.

Former President Bill Clinton a major supporter of his wife and presidential hopeful Senator Hillary Clinton is about to face heat for remarks made in a recent interview regarding racial comments.

Also in the interview was another slip which was picked up softly at the end in the audio interview of Clinton stating, "I don't think I should take any shit from anybody on that, do you?". This was apparently the former President unaware that he was still on the line and being recorded which is obviously why he may have not refrained from the profane language.

The interview was with radio station WHYY Monday night, in which Clinton was asked whether his remarks comparing Barack Obama's strong showing in South Carolina to that of Jesse Jackson in 1988 had been a mistake given their impact on his wife Sen. Hillary Clinton's campaign.

"We were talking about South Carolina political history and this was used out of context and twisted for political purposes by the Obama campaign to try to breed resentment elsewhere. And you know, do I regret saying it? No. Do I regret that it was used that way? I certainly do. But you really got to go some to try to portray me as a racist."

Clinton's South Carolina remark alienated several top black Democrats, who saw an attempt by the former president to belittle the mixed-race Barack Obama and portray his White House bid as fueled only by African-American support.
