The hurricane is expected to make landfall on Monday, two days after the third anniversary of hurricane Katrina. Jindal said that evacuations could begin as early as Friday. Gustav is the seventh storm of the 2008 hurricane season. An eighth storm has already formed in the Atlantic. Tropical storm Hanna is located about 305 miles northeast of the northern Leeward islands. The National Hurricane Center said Hanna will strengthen into a hurricane this weekend.
