Kanye West was arrested on Thursday morning at the Los Angeles International Airport. The rapper is still in custody.
West smashed a camera belonging to a photographer. The incident happened at the American Airlines terminal at LAX.
At around 7:45 AM PST (10:45 AM PST), a photographer began videotaping West which caused an altercation. One of the rapper's assistants grabbed the camera and threw it on the ground.
Once the rapper realized the incident was taped, he rushed the photographer. West then picked up the camera and started smashing it on the ground. The camera is worth 10,000.
The photographer said the incident was recorded.
Further details of the altercation were not revealed by police.
Police arrested West at 7:51 AM PST on charges of battery and vandalism. At the time of this writing, the rapper is still in police custody at the airport.
Meanwhile, West is set to release his fourth solo album entitled "808's & Heartbreak." The album will hit stores on December 16.
