Ivanka Trump vice president - It seems Ivanka Trump is one name floating around by the Republican presidential candidate, who just happens to be her father, to serve as vice president if he is elected.
This comes after Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn. mentioned her name as a possible vice presidential pick for Donald Trump. But Sen. Corker probably didn’t think that Donald Trump was actually considering it.
“His best running mate would be Ivanka,” Corker said on MSNBC after an announcement that he was withdrawing his name from consideration for VP. “I know that wouldn’t pass muster, probably. But I don’t think I have met a more composed, brilliant, beautiful in every way person.”
Eric Trump, Donald Trump’s son, endorsed the idea Thursday morning on Fox & Friends. “I agree, right? She’s got the beautiful looks,” he said. “She’s got — she’s smart. She’s smart smart smart smart. … She’s certainly got my vote.”
The minimum age to be vice president or president is 35, but Ivanka Trump turns 35 in October. She would qualify just two weeks before the November election.
“Her birthday is at the end of October, so she’d make that by seven or eight days,” Eric Trump said. He also said they were making no announcements about the vice presidential pick and declined to provide any specific names. But he sought to put to rest speculation that it was difficult for Donald Trump to find someone who would be his VP.
“I mean he’s getting calls every five minutes from real people, the best people,” Eric Trump said.
Anything can and does happen during election year, but this is defiantly a twist that most people didn’t think would be up for a vice president consideration.
Ivanka Trump married real estate developer Jared Kushner in 2009, and then converted to Judaism soon after. She is a co-owner and executive vice president of development and acquisitions at the Trump Organization, the primary business holding of the family.
